Imagine, if you would, a young boy running around barefoot collecting rocks. Most young children set up a lemonade stand on the corner of their neighborhood. Not Westin. No, instead, he had a rock stand. All of the local children gathered and picked out their pretty rocks, and at a buck a piece, it seemed like a great deal. Fast forward in time and that same young boy still had a passion for rocks. The science behind the formation of gemstones, minerals and crystals fascinated him. At the age of 17 Westin held an apprenticeship at Jewelry Design Center in Spokane where he studied for two years before entering the Military. Life goes on and his collection grew. 

Fast forward 15 years

By God's grace, here we are today pursuing a dream. High Country Treasures is a new business with 25+ years experience in precious, semi-precious gems and minerals. Westin is currently enrolled in GIA to finish his graduate certifications this year so he can continue to have the most accurate, up to date knowledge about gemstone identifying and grading.

 At High Country Treasures we match buyers with a stone that we have sourced and scrutinized to meet our standards. We carry only the most natural of all the gemstones with little to no treatment. If we don't have it, we can find it. We also offer identifying, grading and appraising to our client's personal collections.
